The Original Monster Series was founded around Christmas 2016 and took a long time to come to a temporary end, since most of the time I am working on several pictures at the same time. The series consists of one „starting point picture“ and three diptychs, that vary the topic of a single monster figure trapped in different absurd situations.

This was the time when it became clear to me that my material of choice (Junk mail and all kinds of free print products, flooding the cities everyday) holds ready a rich archive of textures that I could use – a topic that I had been interested in before was then about to come back in focus intensively.
